Steven Bell brings a wealth of maritime experience to our powerboat school, with over 150,000 miles logged in command of various vessels. As a seasoned Training Captain, Steven specializes in training new captains and crew, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle yachts of all sizes. He holds an impressive array of certifications, including the STCW II/2 Master Unlimited – Certificate of Competence, RYA Yachtmaster Cruising Instructor for Power and Sail and RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor.

What a Powerboat Course Day Looks Like
It’s relaxed, but focused. We start with a coffee and a quick briefing, then head straight for the boats. You’ll spend your morning practising slow-speed control, manoeuvres in the marina, and some basic drills. Each Powerboat Course day blends hands-on drills with practical theory. After lunch (usually dockside), we push things further – heading into open water for higher-speed work, emergency stops, maybe even a spot of navigation. It’s real training. You’ll feel it.
